Football Game Preview: Amplus Academy Archers vs. Arbor View Aggies

The Amplus Academy Archers will challenge the Arbor View Aggies at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

Amplus Academy is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Clark on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Amplus Academy came up short against Clark, falling 26-6. The Archers haven't had much luck with the Chargers recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Arbor View). They claimed a resounding 58-12 victory over Durango. The result was nothing new for the Aggies, who have now won eight games by 23 points or more so far this season.

Arbor View found their leader in freshman Priscilla Garcia, who threw for 345 yards and six touchdowns while completing 85% of her passes. The dominant performance gave Garcia a new career-high in passing yards.

Arbor View didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Karah Foss and Vega Monreal.

Arbor View pushed their record up to 14-8 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 6.3 points per game. As for Amplus Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.
