Softball Recap: Hayesville Comes Up Short

Hayesville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 13-1 to the Swain County Maroon Devils. If the Yellowjackets were looking for revenge after losing 11-1 to the Maroon Devils when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Hayesville's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Swain County, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Maroon Devils beat Hayesville by a score of 13-0 later that day.
