Football Game Preview: Scituate Sailors vs. Plymouth South Panthers

For the first time this season, Scituate will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. After each having a week off, they and the Plymouth South Panthers will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Scituate beat Norwell 34-28. The Sailors haven't had any issues with the Clippers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Panthers last Friday. Plymouth South took down Whitman-Hanson Regional 40-22. The game was the first time Plymouth South has beaten Whitman-Hanson Regional on their field since September 11, 2015.

Plymouth South now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Scituate, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.

Everything came up roses for Scituate against Plymouth South in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 48-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Sailors since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
