Lunenburg Central strolled into their game on Monday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Everything went their way against the Altavista Colonels as they made off with a 10-2 victory. The Chargers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by six runs or more this season.

Lunenburg Central's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Altavista, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lunenburg Central will challenge Southampton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Chargers 1.3, the Indians 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Altavista, they will take on Chatham at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cavaliers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Colonels' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
