Basketball Recap: Jumpertown Takes a Loss

If Jumpertown was feeling good fresh off their 57-37 takedown of Blue Mountain last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Jumpertown Cardinals had to suffer through a 69-19 loss at the hands of the Byers Lions. The loss continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Lions: they've now lost four in a row.

Jumpertown's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Byers, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-10.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Jumpertown Cardinals take on the Pine Grove Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Byers, they will head out on the road to challenge Hickory Flat at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Byers' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matches.
