Basketball Game Preview: Holly Springs Hawks vs. North Panola Cougars

Holly Springs is 2-8 against North Panola since February of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Holly Springs Hawks are taking a road trip to face off against the North Panola Cougars at 7:30 p.m. Holly Springs knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully North Panola likes a good challenge.

Holly Springs easily dispatched Potts Camp on Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Holly Springs fell just short of Independence by a score of 69-66 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, North Panola posted their closest victory since December 29, 2023 on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Hernando, sneaking past 56-54.

Holly Springs now has a losing record at 6-7. As for North Panola, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Holly Springs came up short against North Panola in their previous meeting back in January, falling 64-60. Can Holly Springs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
