Softball Game Preview: Latexo Tigers vs. Douglass Indians

The Latexo Tigers will square off against the Douglass Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Latexo's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Douglass' hitters will have their work cut out for them.

It was a proper cat-fight when Latexo duked it out with Normangee on Thursday. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Panthers. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matches by nine runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Douglass posted their closest victory since April 5, 2024 on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Slocum 5-4.

Latexo has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Douglass, their victory bumped their record up to 12-10.
