Basketball Recap: Annandale Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Annandale and Melrose squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Annandale had to settle for second. They fell 66-59 to the Melrose Dutchmen. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Cardinals came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 119th, while the Dutchmen are ranked 247th).

Annandale's loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Melrose, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-20.

As of now, neither Annandale nor Melrose have any future games scheduled.
