Softball Recap: Eagle Mountain Triumphs

Nine must be Eagle Mountain's lucky number: they beat Creekview with that score not once but twice on Thursday. The Knights came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 9-5. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

Ashlyn Eggleton made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Ava Balentine was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Zoe Hawthorne, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Eagle Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Creekview, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.

Eagle Mountain will face off against Rogers at 10:15 a.m. on Friday. As for Creekview, they will venture away from home to square off against Keller Central at 10:15 a.m. on Friday.
