Baseball Game Preview: Century Diamondbacks vs. Pocatello Thunder

Century is 1-9 against Pocatello since April of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Diamondbacks will host the Thunder at 3:30 p.m. This will be Century's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.

Century is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 11 runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Rigby on Saturday. They fell 4-1 to the Trojans.

Meanwhile, Pocatello didn't have quite enough to beat Vallivue on Saturday and fell 5-3.

Pocatello got a good showing from JETT MECHLING, who tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave MECHLING a new career-low.

At the plate, KACHE STUCKI made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. NATE ROGERS was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.

Century's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Pocatello, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.
