Softball Recap: Carbondale Terriers vs. Freeburg Midgets
Carbondale won the last time they faced Freeburg and things went their way on Friday too. The Terriers came out on top against the Midgets by a score of 8-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Terriers.

Carbondale picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-3. As for Freeburg, their loss ended an 18-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-4.
Carbondale has already played their next match, an 8-2 win against Centralia on the 1st. As for Freeburg, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 8-1 defeat against Waterloo on the 31st.
