Basketball Recap: Northwest's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Northwest hadn't done well against University Prep recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Northwest House walked away with a 42-35 win over the University Prep Pumas. The victory was some much needed relief for the House as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Northwest's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-8. As for University Prep, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northwest will head out to square off against Bush at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bush will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Northwest surely won't give up without a fight. As for University Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Bear Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
