The St. John Paul II Catholic Lions can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 52-38 victory over Bisbee. This was payback for St. John Paul II Catholic, who suffered a 59-15 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Leading St. John Paul II Catholic to victory were Diana Valencia and Sofia Cervantes . Valencia dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten steals, while Cervantes scored 22 points along with four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Cervantes has scored at least 25% of St. John Paul II Catholic's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Janey Lopez, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
