Recap: Easton Area Rovers vs. Liberty Hurricanes
The Easton Area Rovers lost against the Liberty Hurricanes back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Easton Area received a tough blow as they fell 62-48 to Liberty. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Easton Area in their matchups with Liberty: they've now lost five in a row.
Easton Area's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chase Shollenberger, who scored 14 points. Those 14 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Hoadley, who scored 11 points.
Easton Area bumped their record down to 4-8 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Liberty, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Easton Area will square off against Nazareth Area at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Liberty, they will head out on the road to face off against Muhlenberg at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
