Basketball Recap: Mountain Lake/Comfrey Takes a Loss

Mountain Lake/Comfrey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 71-51 to the Madelia Blackhawks. While losing is never fun, Mountain Lake/Comfrey can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 374th, while Madelia is ranked 157th).

Mountain Lake/Comfrey's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Madelia, their victory bumped their record up to 13-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mountain Lake/Comfrey will challenge Hills-Beaver Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hills-Beaver Creek will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Mountain Lake/Comfrey surely won't give up without a fight. As for Madelia, they will square off against Granada-Huntley-East Chain/Martin Luther/Truman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
