Baseball Recap: Elmwood Takes a Loss

Elmwood has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.5 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Monday. They lost 10-2 to the Liberty-Benton Eagles. It was the first time this season that the Royals let down their fans at home.

Elmwood saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Snow, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.

Elmwood's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 8-2. As for Liberty-Benton, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2.
