Football Recap: Parkland Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Parkland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 13-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the North Forsyth Vikings. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2018.

Marsuan Byrd-McCoy threw for 90 yards on nine of 17 attempts. Cameron Woodyard was his top target, picking up 43 receiving yards. On the ground, Vernon Champion rushed for 114 yards.

Parkland's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for North Forsyth, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Looking ahead, Parkland will square off against Atkins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for North Forsyth, they will challenge East Surry at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings will be up against the Cardinals' rather soft defense (which has allowed 39.25 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
