Soccer Recap: Coronado Comes Up Short

Coronado was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Socorro Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in February.

Coronado's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13-1. As for Socorro, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-11.

Coming up, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when Coronado duke it out with Eastlake at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastlake will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Coronado surely won't give up without a fight. Socorro does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
