Wyoming Area's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Pittston Patriots by a score of 3-1. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Warriors as it put an end to their four-match losing streak.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 20-25, 25-12, 25-20.

Taylor Gashi paced Wyoming Area's offense, picking up 15 kills. Gashi were helped by Ava Boyle and Madelyn Smith, who contributed 15 assists each. Kenzie Galenty controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-6. As for Pittston, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Wyoming Area and Pittston could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. The Warriors will challenge Tunkhannock at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (327 vs. 76). Meanwhile, Pittston (ranked 255th) will meet Delaware Valley (ranked 110th) at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
