Softball Recap: Milford Scarlet Hawks vs. Wellesley Raiders        
        
		
            
 Milford came tearing into  Tuesday's  match with three straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.7 runs) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Wellesley Raiders by a score of  7-4.
  Maeve Driscoll spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned  (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up 11 Ks. Those 11  strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
 At the plate,  Olivia Baglione was  excellent,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-4. She is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  stolen  at least one in the last three games she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Maddie Burns, who  went 2-for-4 with three  RBI and a  double.
 Milford's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Wellesley, they now  have a losing record at 1-2.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Milford will take on Hopkinton at 12:00  p.m.  on Friday. Milford's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6  runs per game  this season, so Hopkinton's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Wellesley, they will look to defend their home field  on Monday against Brookline at 3:45  p.m.
