Christopher won the last time they faced Leland and things went their way on Friday too. The Cougars never let the Chargers get on the board and left with a 7-0 win. Winning may never get old, but the Cougars sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Jacob Huerta was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Abrahm Cid, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

Christopher hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Christopher pushed their record up to 7-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Leland, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Christopher has already played their next matchup, a 4-1 victory against Pioneer on the 2nd. As for Leland, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 10-0 win against Oak Grove on the 29th.
