Basketball Recap: Baker Takes a Loss

Baker was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost to the Livonia Wildcats on the road by a 60-44 margin. The Buffaloes were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Baker lost, don't look at Tyrone Harris. Despite the final result, he shot 64% from the field on his way to 21 points. The matchup was Harris' third in a row with at least 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Demone Richardson, who posted eight points and seven rebounds.

Baker's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Livonia, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Baker will take on Broadmoor at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Livonia, they will head out to challenge East Feliciana at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
