Basketball Recap: Rayville Extends Winning Streak to Three

Rayville won against Oak Grove last Tuesday with 69 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Rayville Hornets walked away with a 69-60 win over the Beekman Charter Tigers. That's more bragging rights for the Hornets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The victory (which was Rayville's third in a row) raised their record to 6-12. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.7 points per game. As for Beekman Charter, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 13-7 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rayville will square off against Mangham at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Rayville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight contests. As for Beekman Charter, they will challenge Delhi Charter at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Beekman Charter is facing Delhi Charter at the right time seeing as Delhi Charter is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
