Softball Recap: Danville Ironmen vs. Shikellamy Braves

Danville blew Shikellamy out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Thursday Shikellamy got their revenge. The Ironmen fell just short of the Braves by a score of 8-6. The Ironmen just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Brynn Wilson and Brianna Blue stepped up to the plate in a big way. Wilson went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI, while Blue went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Abby Haught, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Danville's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Shikellamy, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-5.
