Basketball Recap: Leon Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Leon duked it out with Buchholz on Saturday. The Lions lost to the Bobcats on the road by a 57-41 margin. The defeat continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Bobcats: they've now lost five in a row.

Buchholz was led to victory by Taylor Booth and Isabella Alexander. Booth posted 23 points, while Alexander had 16 points. Those 16 points gave Alexander a new career-high.

Leon now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Buchholz, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

Leon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Buchholz, they will face off against Bartram Trail at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Booth and Alyssa Donohue.
