Basketball Recap: Admiral Farragut Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

Admiral Farragut's tournament run continued when they took on Bridge to Independence on Saturday. The Admiral Farragut BlueJackets walked away with a 73-65 win over the Bridge to Independence Wildcats. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the BlueJackets.

Gabe Tiesnesis had an outrageously good game as he went 10 of 12 en route to 29 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Hayden Hundt, who went 6 for 11 on his way to 16 points and five boards.

Bridge to Independence lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Micah Becker, who went 8 of 18 en route to 22 points and six steals. Becker is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaydan Jeantinord, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten rebounds.

Admiral Farragut has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points per game. As for Bridge to Independence, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-5.

Admiral Farragut will challenge Indian Rocks Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Admiral Farragut is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.3 points per game this season. As for Bridge to Independence, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Bridge to Independence Wildcats duke it out with the Forest Lake Academy Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Bridge to Independence's favor as the squad sits on ten straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Forest Lake Academy has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
