Baseball Recap: Aberdeen Takes a Loss

Aberdeen and Anacortes squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Aberdeen had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Seahawks by a score of 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Bobcats have suffered since April 25th.

Aidan Baker was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Mylan Bruner was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Aberdeen's defeat dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Anacortes, the victory was the 20th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 23-5.

As of now, neither Aberdeen nor the Seahawks have any future games scheduled.
