University had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They blew past the Greenwood Christian Academy Cougars 8-2. The result was nothing new for the Trailblazers, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Laine Spears looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Beckett Suh was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Cooper Burnett was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

University's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-10. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Greenwood Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season.

University will take on Park Tudor at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last. As for Greenwood Christian Academy, they will face off against Trinity Lutheran at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Greenwood Christian Academy's pitchers better be ready for this one: Trinity Lutheran has averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season.
