The Old Forge Blue Devils will head out on the road to square off against the Riverside Vikings at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Riverside will be up against a hot Old Forge team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. The Blue Devils blew past Hanover Area 16-2 on Saturday. That looming 16-2 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Blue Devils yet this season.
Kamryn Notari was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Notari was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that she has brought in this season.

In other batting news, Old Forge let Kate O'Hearn and Lilianna Lenceski run wild. O'Hearn went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Lenceski went 2-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four hits gave O'Hearn a new career-high. Ava Arnold was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.
Old Forge was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .630. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .310 or higher in seven consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last game, Riverside made sure to put some runs up on the board against Forest City on Saturday. The Vikings were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over the Foresters. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Foresters recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Shelby Lewis made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Lewis was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Mikayla Smith, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Emily Chilek, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Riverside now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Old Forge, their record now sits at 5-3.
