Recap: Putnam City Pirates vs. Putnam City North Panthers
There's no place like home for The Putnam City Pirates, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They blew past Putnam City North 56-20 at home. The result was nothing new for Putnam City, who have now won three contests by 29 points or more so far this season.
Judson Keefer was on fire: he threw for 391 yards and five touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes, and also caught a touchdown. Keefer was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 53 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Davien Taylor, who picked up 186 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Putnam City's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Putnam City North, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Putnam City will challenge Choctaw at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th.
