Soccer Recap: Marion Comes Up Short

Marion managed to keep up with Greene County Tech until halftime on Monday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Patriots came up short against the Golden Eagles, falling 3-0. Marion were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Greene County Tech apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Marion dropped their record down to 1-10-1 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Greene County Tech, their win bumped their record up to 2-7-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Marion will take on rival Searcy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Greene County Tech is set to challenge their familiar foe Batesville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
