Soccer Recap: Montclair Wins Going Away Against Don Lugo

Montclair won the last time they faced Don Lugo and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Montclair Cavaliers blew past the Don Lugo Conquistadores 4-1. Given the Cavaliers' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 127th, while the Conquistadores are ranked 743rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Montclair has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-7-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those four matchups. As for Don Lugo, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-11-2.

Montclair will square off against Ontario at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Don Lugo, they will take on Chino at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Chino's last five contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
