Basketball Recap: Winslow Takes a Loss

Winslow was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 77-57 to the Florence Gophers. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Gophers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2021.

Florence found their leader in sophomore Brody Ramirez, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and ten boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ramirez has scored all season. Logan Stenson was another key player, dropping a double-double on 17 points and ten boards.

Winslow now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Florence, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.

Winslow wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 58-54 defeat against Combs on the 4th. As for Florence, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 66-62 win against Snowflake on the 4th.
