Softball Recap: Marion Beats Richland County for Their Fourth Straight Win

Marion waltzed into their game on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They never let the Richland County Tigers get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. Considering the Wildcats have won 12 matchups by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Marion's victory bumped their record up to 18-6. As for Richland County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.

Marion will square off against Waltonville at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wildcats 2.8, the Spartans 3.5) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Richland County, they will face off against Paris at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
