Recap: Philip Scotties vs. Edgemont Moguls
The Philip Scotties scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They breezed by Edgemont at home to the tune of 56-28. That looming 56-28 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Philip yet this season.
Philip found their leader in underclassman Drew Terkildsen, who scored 21 points along with four steals. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Josie Jones, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and three steals.
Despite the loss, Edgemont still got an impressive performance from Addison Neville, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Neville has scored all season.
Philip now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Edgemont, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Philip will head out on the road to face off against Sully Buttes at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Dakota (Sully Buttes is ranked 64th, while Philip is ranked 82nd). Edgemont will finish 2023 at home by hosting Harding County at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Harding County is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
