Basketball Recap: Deweyville Takes a Loss

Deweyville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the Sabine Pass Sharks 77-25. The Pirates were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-10.

Sabine Pass' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Devin Roberts led the charge by going 6 for 8 on his way to 15 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ja'Lon Aiken, who went 5 of 9 en route to 13 points and four steals.

Deweyville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Sabine Pass, their record now sits at 9-12.

Deweyville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 92-28 loss against Evadale on the 17th. Sabine Pass has also already played their next contest, a 47-44 victory against West Hardin on the 17th.
