Football Recap: Ropes Starts Season with Win Against Hale Center + How To Watch

Ropes took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They claimed a resounding 33-0 win over the Hale Center Owls. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Owls: they've now won four in a row.

Ryland Kieth went supernova, rushing for 159 yards and three scores. Those 159 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Zayden Pittman was in the mix as well, providing Ropes with two TDs.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Ropes' defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Jackson Lehnen, Britton Mitchell, and Cason Kucel, who each picked up one sack apiece. Another thorn in Hale Center's side was Lehnen, who picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made 15 total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ropes will square off against New Home at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hale Center, they will take on Plains at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
