Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask North Iredell). They put the hurt on the Hickory Red Tornadoes with a sharp 21-1 win on Friday. The Raiders have beaten the Red Tornadoes the last seven times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Red Tornadoes has come to flipping the script.

North Iredell's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Hickory, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Iredell will welcome North Lincoln at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Lincoln's pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so North Iredell's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Hickory, they will take on St. Stephens at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
