Basketball Game Preview: Adrian Maples vs. Ypsilanti Grizzlies

The Adrian Maples will venture away from home to face off against the Ypsilanti Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Adrian will be strutting in after a win while Ypsilanti will be coming in after a loss.

On Monday, everything went Adrian's way against Robichaud as Adrian made off with a 69-47 victory. Given the Maples' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 37th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 205th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Ypsilanti was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 57-52 heartbreaker at the hands of Chelsea.

Adrian pushed their record up to 17-3 with the win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points over those games. As for Ypsilanti, their loss dropped their record down to 6-12.

Everything came up roses for Adrian against Ypsilanti when the teams last played back in January, as the squad secured a 72-44 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Adrian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
