Basketball Recap: Heritage Christian Takes a Loss

Heritage Christian was the 44-43 winner over Wylie Prep Academy when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Heritage Christian Eagles received a blow on Friday as they fell 40-25 to the Wylie Prep Academy Patriots. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wylie Prep Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Remey Cunniff led the charge by putting up six points along with nine rebounds and six steals. Cunniff is becoming a predictor of Wylie Prep Academy's success: when she posts at least five steals the team is 4-1 (and 6-8 when she doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Emily True, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 boards.

Heritage Christian's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Wylie Prep Academy, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

As of now, neither Heritage Christian nor Wylie Prep Academy have any future games scheduled.
