Soccer Recap: Fulshear Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Fulshear can now relate to. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Seven Lakes Spartans who were credited with the victory on Thursday. The Seven Lakes Spartans got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Fulshear Chargers' two. While losing is never fun, the Chargers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 66th, while the Spartans are ranked fourth).

With the loss, Fulshear broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-5-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored nine goals over those three contests. As for Seven Lakes, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That somehow still isn't as good as their 17-1-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Fulshear nor Seven Lakes have any future games scheduled.
