Basketball Recap: Zara Noto Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Hilliard

Riverview Sarasota saw some tournament action on Friday. They came out on top against the Hilliard Red Flashes by a score of 58-50. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rams.

Riverview Sarasota's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zara Noto, who went 8 of 13 en route to 21 points. Another player making a difference was Taylor Davidson, who posted eight points along with 13 rebounds and three steals.

Riverview Sarasota smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 27 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

When it comes to explaining why Hilliard lost, don't look at Alyssa Hallman. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. Hallman is becoming a predictor of Hilliard's success: when she posts at least eight boards the team is undefeated (and 0-3 when she doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Reah Saunders, who had eight points in addition to six boards and five assists.

Riverview Sarasota is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. As for Hilliard, they moved to 6-3 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.
