Volleyball Recap: Mumford Snags Eighth Victory in Last Ten Games

Mumford won the last time they faced C.H. Yoe, and Nancy Galvan did her part to make sure it happened again. The Mustangs had just enough and edged out the Yoemen 3-2 thanks in part to Galvan, who had 50 digs and one assist. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Mumford had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 21-25, 24-26, 25-20, 25-19, 15-8.

Mumford has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-9 record this season. As for C.H. Yoe, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5.

Coming up, Mumford will take on Richards at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for C.H. Yoe, they will challenge Trinity at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.
