Soccer Game Preview: Rossford vs. Delta

The Rossford Bulldogs will square off against the Delta Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Rossford has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with seven straight losses, while Delta will come in with five straight victories.

Rossford came up short against Port Clinton on Thursday, falling 5-1.

Meanwhile, Delta kept a clean sheet against Emmanuel Christian on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 4-0 win. With that victory, Delta brought their scoring average up to 2.5 goals per game.

Nicholas Circle and Gunnar Avery scored all four of Delta's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Delta now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Rossford, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-15.

Rossford took their win against Delta when the teams last played back in August of 2018 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
