Baseball Game Preview: Chanute Blue Comets vs. Augusta Orioles

The Chanute Blue Comets will challenge the Augusta Orioles on Saturday. Chanute will be strutting in after a win while Augusta will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Chanute turned things around against Labette County on Thursday. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Grizzlies.

Meanwhile, Augusta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They lost 14-4 to Buhler. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Augusta saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dominick Courter-Cortez, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI. That RBI was Courter-Cortez's first of the season.

Chanute's win bumped their record up to 3-8. As for Augusta, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.
