Spackenkill snaps three-game streak of wins at home

Recap: Spackenkill Spartans vs. Ellenville Blue Devils

The Spackenkill Spartans have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. The game between them and Ellenville wasn't particularly close, with Spackenkill falling 70-51. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Spackenkill of the 62-61 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture last Friday.

Leading Ellenville to victory were Kj Jackson and Jason Kinscy. Jackson scored 23 points along with five rebounds, while Kinscy scored 32 points along with six assists and six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kinscy has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Nero, who scored four points along with five rebounds.

Spackenkill's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-2. As for Ellenville, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.

Spackenkill will head out on the road to challenge the Blazers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Millbrook has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 612 points over their last nine matchups. As for Ellenville, they will be playing at home against the Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Rhinebeck is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
