Mayfair hasn't had much luck against Lakewood recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Monsoons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lancers at 11:00 a.m. Mayfair is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.

Mayfair's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. Everything went their way against Paramount as they made off with a 6-0 victory. Considering the Monsoons have won ten matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Mayfair saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josiah Gamez, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Lakewood came into Friday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out Jordan 9-8.

Lakewood got a big performance out of Gavin Koontz, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Anthony Rueda was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Mayfair has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Lakewood, their victory bumped their record up to 11-13.
