Baseball Recap: East Feliciana Takes a Loss

East Feliciana was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Independence, falling 14-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Independence this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-2 last Friday.

Ke'Marion Matthews was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Roosevelt Dunn, who got on base in both of his plate appearances with three stolen bases.

East Feliciana's defeat dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Independence, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 17 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season.
