Monterey has gone 8-0-1 against Palo Duro recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Monterey Plainsmen will host the Palo Duro Dons at 5:00 p.m. Monterey's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Monterey fell victim to Lubbock-Cooper and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pirates.

Meanwhile, Palo Duro also failed to score in their most recent game. They lost 4-0 to Tascosa on Tuesday. The Dons haven't had much luck with the Rebels recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Palo Duro's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5-3. As for Monterey, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3-3.

Everything went Monterey's way against Palo Duro in their previous meeting back in January of 2022, as Monterey made off with a 4-1 win. Will Monterey repeat their success, or does Palo Duro have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
