The Panther Valley Panthers will head out to challenge the Pottsville Crimson Tide at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Panther Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.7 runs per game this season.
Panther Valley's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They put the hurt on Notre Dame with a sharp 15-0 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Panthers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Paige Goida looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high.
On the hitting side, Morgan O'Brien was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklynn Mika, who went 2-for-3 with five RBI and two doubles.
Panther Valley hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive games.
Pottsville never got on the board in their matchup last Monday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Mahanoy Area on Monday. They walked away with a 10-5 win over the Golden Bears. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Crimson Tide's hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
Peyton Eckert was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run.
In other batting news, Megan Yost and Aubrey Scanlan did most of the damage at the plate: Yost went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Scanlan went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Lana Cromyak was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Pottsville now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Panther Valley, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.
Panther Valley couldn't quite get it done against Pottsville in their previous matchup two weeks ago as they fell 7-2. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
